RED FLAGS

On rare occasions, patients with acute dizziness require emergency attention.

 

If you have someone who has been dizzy for less than 72 hours and has any of the following please refer them to A&E.

  • Gait Ataxia

  • Bi-directional Nystagmus

  • Associated hearing loss

  • Headache 

  • Hyperacute Onset

  • Continuous Dizziness (Not provoked by certain head movements)
